Greetings from Wood's Hole Hostel!!!
Sallie & I have had an amazing time walking through Virginia, Great trail, great views, lovely forest, generous people, warm southern hospitality, and Awesome Food!! Since our last post we spent a day with a fellow who teaches Earth skills (basic living in Nature), we had a day & 1/2 that we didn't see any other humans!, we went to a ZZ Topp concert, hiked across the triple crown of best views through VA (Tinker Cliffs, McAfee's Knob & Dragons Tooth), then crossed the New River! We did not plan to stop here however it was a nasty day, & sallie banged up her front left leg chasing a chipmunk and through a rock field so we decided to make the day short! we were welcomed into this lovely oasis less than 1/2 mile off the trail where sallie is resting and i helped a little bit with some garden labor =:) we have enjoyed two fabulous meals and will be back on the trail shortly.
This is Indian Cucumber Root.
